I wouldn't expect anymore coaching changes to be announced until after signing day, but is there any chance this happens?

Tony Ball did not have a positive impact on the receivers last season. I am not sold on him being a long term hire just yet. Johnson has a long history of succesful recruiting and has coached WRs on the highest level (ala Adam Henry).

He would be a slam dunk hire IMO.

Adam Henry is out of a job, why not just hire him back?

You're blaming Ball for wideouts with inconsistent hands? Look everyone can't be OBJ and Juice. Those guys put in countless hours of work after practice. They pushed each other. These guys can be the same if they put in the work. Ball is strict and requires you give him maximum effort with great technique.

I do agree Henry was better and I would love him back, but wideouts are still committing and im sure they've met ball. He produced some great wideouts at Georgia. Give him another year.

Depends on if he left on good terms or not. Les is loyal and I like the idea of having Henry back, but if he rubbed Les the wrong way with his departure I don't see that happening.

I don't know anything here, just speculating.

You can coach someone to have better hands. I've seen it. Not saying this is the case, but it is something that can be learned, to an extent of course, through practice.

And even OBJ dropped passes during his time at LSU. Ball might not be the best recruiter, but LSU is not hurting in the WR recruiting department.

Tony Ball did not have a positive impact? How about get him a QB that can get them the ball?

I don't think it's on the coaches to teach a player to catch a ball that hits them directly in the hands. That's usually on the player. I saw a lot of games where it didn't look like the receivers on the field were giving maximum effort and there just seemed to be a lack of attention to detail in the passing game overall. Which is strange because everything I've heard about Ball was that he was a technician who asked for maximum effort. Perhaps another year of his tutelage will make or drastic improvement in our current wideouts, but he didn't impress me in his first year.

Patience people. LSU is working on it. New WR and OL coaches coming. If not before the dead period ends, then after signing day.

Allegedly

Dude you can't be serious. I bet there have never been more drops by LSU Wrs than this year. Dural had a streak of going with every game he had atleast one drop.

Miami hasn't hired a WR coach yet, so Ball could re-unite with Richt out there.

Not sure Johnson would be the choice, but it's possible someone new could come along still, but probably not until after NSD.
