Chances Etling pushes for playing time?

I'll start by saying I think Harris is our guy and we need to support him, but from the videos of the past couple days of practice Etling looks sharp and his throws are accurate. I'm not saying he should usurp Harris because Etling could be one of those practice monsters that doesn't transfer over into the game, but there's no denying he's been impressive to date so far. So do any of you guys think Etling has the talent and support of the staff to over take Harris? I'll shut up and listen.

I agree, the chances he starts is very low. But he sure looks good right now. But a couple days of practice isn't much to go on, so don't wanna get ahead of myself.

Based on some of the coaching decisions/hires that CLM has made recently, I honestly think the best guy starts rather than previous year where seniority tipped the scales. Would not be surprised in the least to see Etling play meaningful snaps if he proves he's more qualified.

You only have to go back to last year when a younger, less experienced player unseated the experienced incumbent. And Etling played more at Purdue than Harris did in '14.

He'll play some backup, but unless injury or Harris just totally shits the bed this year, he's not going to see the field much. That goes for all the QBs.
