But over the past month of preseason camp, word consistently filtered out through players and coaches that Brandon Harris understands the playbook and has Cameron's confidence, that new defensive line coach Ed Orgeron has raised the effort level of all of the D-linemen, that head coach Les Miles has praised his linebackers' wheels.

Because of all of that, no team nationally perhaps has changed its perception in these last few weeks more than LSU.

It is crazy to think the squad that was picked at SEC Media Days in July to finish third in the West Division is suddenly a fashionable choice to advance to the College Football Playoffs, and even win the national title, according to ESPN's Lee Corso.

The sudden flip of opinions has made everyone associated with LSU – players, coaches, fans and even media – extremely eager for Saturday's season opener.

"I know the fans are anxious, so are we," senior starting linebacker Lamar Louis said. "We know how good we can be. If we do what we know we can do, we can beat anybody."based on the questions surrounding the Tigers.

quote:

Have you heard about LSU's new football uniforms for Saturday's season opener in Tiger Stadium against McNeese State?

Nike, after considering preseason predictions that range from LSU winning the national championship to going an abysmal 7-5, decided to create a uniform based on the questions surrounding the Tigers.

It was natural that Nike, using arch-Batman enemy "The Riddler" as its fashion base, has designed the Tigers' jerseys covered with dozens of question marks.

Also, instead of a player's name on the back of the jersey, it will read "Riddle Me This."

Just kidding.

Swinggggg and a miss. Unfunny joke is unfunny.

When has anyone ever seen a Les Miles team that was a riddle? This man knows how to dominate people and that's what he's going to do

The article was actually decent once you got past the introductory paragraphs. BJJ just picked the worst snippet to copy/paste here.

sounds like he’s not buying corso, herberstreet, and Mcshay, that he’s not expecting a run to the final 4 but the same ole tigers with Harris struggling against Miss St. and Jennings inserted in as starter for Auburn.
