21-0

Would've been the greatest season of all time no question. It's still up there but that loss makes it arguable

I felt like the article missed that the WVA team we beat also won a BCS bowl by smoking Clemson. Am i remembering correctly?

Further, the big wins were mostly away from home.

I like bacon....a lot.

to your point, the '11 team deserves that ranking by the criteria set forth. the fact that it's accomplishments were disrespected by a corrupt system in no way diminishes my appraisal of and respect for what that team and staff accomplished. best year ever...we did it...nuff said.

Yes. Oregon beat Wisconsin and WVU put up 70 on Clemson

if we just coulda made the nc game competitive we would still have a nc from 2011 from the ap. ill never forgive miles for that unless he wins 2 more to make up for it. ill also never forgive him for having qbs like jl and jj for 4 feckin years, inexcusable.

Really?

You mean those two qbs that produced that 13-0 SEC Championship season in 2011, that also produced an 11-2 season in 2010 which included a decisive Cotton Bowl win over Texas A&M, and that went 2-2 against Saban in their 4 regular season meetings, including wins in both their Jr and Sr years?

It wasn't the "4 feckin years" that was the problem. It was that they were thrust into starting roles way too soon, because Ryan Perrilleux self-destructed.

There can be no doubt that 2008 and 2009 were problem qb years, but no one planned for either of those two young guys to be forced to start that soon. I wonder how good both would have been, if they had one or two more years to mature before taking the reins, as was expected.

We all know our qb play could have been much better, even in their junior and senior seasons. But truth is, we won 11 and 13 games and an SEC Championship in those final two years.

We did not accomplish either of those milestones with the "world class" QB (and receiving corp) we have enjoyed in 2012 and 2013.

It would make you think that having all of the starting experience early would make you more prepared at a Jr or Sr than just practice development. Isn't playing time always better than practice snaps?

Interesting that 2011 Bama is nowhere to be found in their top 25...

95 Nebraska was so insanely great that if they don't rank #1, the problem is with your ranking system.
