That's still pretty damn long....consequences should be feared along with at least being consistent.

20 years is ridiculous. He did wrong but he's served his time

I guarantee there's been thousands of murderers in Louisiana and Florida since 2001 who haven't served half the time he has.

You're right. A guy bashed a professor's head in with a fire poker/statue up in Rhode Island (A gay relationship is theorized between them or something).

In any event, guy wasn't caught for quite awhile, using the professor's credit cards and such.

Got out after about 10-15 years and attended law school at Tulane and will finish this year.

How bizarre right?

The guy broke into three homes in two states and messed with two women.

I don't have too much sympathy for him and I sure in the hell don't want him living anywhere around me!

moral of story: don't break in anyone's house

wrong..moral of story is our justice system is completely screwed up.
He committed crimes and should suffer consequences, but 13 years is more than enough. wow. yet again, what the hell is wrong with people.

I agree that this sounds a bit excessive.

Agree with this.

It's a lot of time but how on earth can people feel for this guy?

Life isn't fair. Why should and idiot like Cecil Collins have so much talent and ability to make a millions of dollars?
Why should LSU fans be deprived of Cecils entertainment value just so women could be safer.

You guys who think he shoud be released, volunter to have him move in with you whild he is on probation.

Why I may say it seems excessive no-one in here really knows the full story. I loved Cecil just as much as any tiger fan but the guy was just a rock outside the football field aka Lawrence phillips style.

So the clear moral here is : just rape the women.

Our judge in BR will let you slide for that.

You're better off getting drunk and killing people.

16-year-old here in Texas only got 10 years probation for killing four people and another can't move or talk, because he was three times over the legal limit from beer he stole at Wal-Mart all because the kid suffers from "affluenza"

Exactly. It's not like he was stealing the money off the dresser. He is literally a sex offender.
