Not saying that it's not a waste of time - I'm just telling you why they do it.

I guess you didn't catch that that is all I was getting at. I think that a little bit is going to change between now and bowl season so my question was more geared towards the "what's the point" angle. But seriously, I'm really glad you spoke up because I have learned a lot about marketing by coming to the Rant this morning.

Why the hell do they even bother spending the time doing this?

to quote Oscar Wilde, the poet and writer.

That is why they do it, and here we are talking about them.

This is basically the good teams from last year minus LSU and adding Texas. Shittiest preseason projections ive ever seen

lol...

You do know that we haven't played a game yet this season, right?

Besides, we were just in a BCS game two years ago! You make it seem like they've been few and far between.

Just saw that, haha. Quick switch.

ETA: Ouch, and Auburn the only SEC not bowl eligible.

THey must have changed it.

Cotton is LSU vs. OU

Alamo is TCU vs Oregon

No Bowl game for USC.

Why does TCU get a Milligan? Not fair.

re: CBS Way Too Early Bowl Predictions
Interesting. The projected match-up has changed. Now it says LSU versus Oklahoma (not TCU) in the Cotton Bowl:

Cotton Jan. 3 Arlington, Texas Big 12 No. 2 vs. SEC Oklahoma vs. LSU

re: CBS Way Too Early Bowl Predictions
FSU does not go to a BCS game. TCU would get in over Texas. Oregon could still take one BCS spot. We'll be in the Sugar before A&M does (really they are highly overrating these guys).

You have to put Bama in the NCG spot because who else has one back-to-back this decade and are built to win it again? Ohio St. is the other option because they will be ranked so high while their schedule is super easy. ND because I honestly think they are getting better, should be in.

BCS: Bama vs OSU
Orange: Clemson vs Notre Dame
Sugar: LSU vs Louisville/Oregon
Rose: Michigan vs Stanford/Oregon
Fiesta: TCU vs Louisville/Oregon
