The play calling yesterday was really good. He is going to be fantastic here if left alone.

He is working with three true freshmen on the o-line, freshman full back, limited wr’s and qb, back up rb’s. He was able to possess the ball so we wouldn’t tire out the d. He had players wide open to make plays. Once we get better at oline, qb, wr etc, he’s going to be fantastic.

I have to admit that we ran a few too many jet sweeps.

A couple worked. A couple didn't. It flushes out the middle, gives a pass or draw option 1 fewer man in the box. Or it works sometimes. Not my favorite play, but a wrinkle I don't hate.

Hell of job calls the game considering what he has to work with at qb

I agree with this. And if Etling hits the wide up play action in the first half, the game is not as close. There were several really well-timed play calls. You can tell the coaches did their homework this week.

Will be nice to watch the offense when Brennan learns it. Etling is a good guy who gives it his all, but he left too many points on the field with horrible throws, and was very lucky not to have 3 interceptions.

Bama will shut out that offense. Auburn might as well.

Canada called a good game to minimize our OL injury issues. He did his job. Etling was the limiting factor yesterday.

I think that was a product of tough sledding between the tackles, it’s what worked.

OP is right, w a better support staff the playcalling will get even better.

If it wasn’t for the Jet Sweeps and Jet Sweep action, LSU doesn’t win

Not really. Jet sweeps have a purpose. Makes the defense cover sideline to sideline, wears them big galutes out, and the motion action causes hesitation in LB's and safeties. If you are not winging the ball downfield you have to have something to keep the defense honest. so even a sweep for no gain has some good in it.

True, but he'll also be first to go if the life raft runs out of food. Should keep seeing improvement though, the longer he stays. Guess we'll have to see, but everyone's job looks a lot safer right now.

How many times did we pass on first down?

If Etling makes the throws, the game is not close.

If Fla DB's could catch, we probably lose.

This was easily the best called game of the year and the best defense we have faced yet imo. He's improved as the year has gone along. No need to shite on him after yesterday. Go be miserable somewhere else.

And I am in no way an O pumper. I'm just happy after an LSU game for the first time in 4 weekends

Lowell Narcisse is going to be a conference player of the year candidate in this offense.

Because of the personnel running the scheme currently but not the scheme itself.

Team simply has too many freshman starting. The Tigers will get better with time!
