What a joke of a stat. Miss State marched 90 yards twice and had their way with us. Auburn mercy kneed the entire second half. Ole Miss was pretty good, but the offense played keep away the entire game, and if not for a delay of game, ole Miss was lined up for the game tying field goal. Bama game was good for 59 minutes, but utter crap for 50 seconds plus overtime. At Arkansas, the defense allowed Arkansas to march down the field and take the lead immediately. A&M was another good game, but yesterday so awful it covers A&M up.

Worst "#1 defense" ever.

being the #1 defense in the SEC in 2014 means you were barely adequate.

Were you not being realistic before?

You are so fricking miserable. For 12 games this year LSU had the best defense statistically. You cant call out the defense on a few select plays from the whole season and say they weren't really the best.

a&M was marching down the field at the end too, before they fricked it up

Did you not watch the Miss St and Auburn games? People love to blame Brandon Harris but we were down 14-0 before we touched the ball for a second series.

For Ole Miss we got lucky that Bo Wallace was Bo Wallace.

Yards per play, 3rd down conversion rate, and red-zone defensive efficiency are good stats to grade a defense.

We were a good, not great, defense this year. But, we improved immensely from the beginning of the year. That's what Chavis brought to the table.

The defense got skull stomped against Miss St and Auburn. Those 2 games alone show how much of a joke statistics are. What's the only statistic that matters people. Wins and Losses.

What, taking out Welter and replacing him with Beckwith? Brilliant. Too bad it took to midseason.

His recent defenses didn't create turnovers, choked in big game ending moments, and couldn't sack the QB. That's what he's been bringing to the table.

All of the offensive efficiency stat people need to check out our defensive efficiency stats. Where are the sacks, interceptions, forced fumbles? That all went up in smoke with the Honey Badger.

A piddling 84th in interceptions this year.

Would love to see the stats with cupcakes taken out and where we would rank. Understand all games count but let's be real, we play like shite on defense. I can't believe we are the #1 defense with Welter playing MLB for us in multiple games.

Chavis has become a rich man using those bogus stats. But it's our fault for not holding these "men" accountable. His last boss fired him.
