Watched him against jags last week he is solid and has been for almost 10 years in the NFL. Do we go ahead an throw him in with Fancea,Mawae,Andolsek, Mcclure?

And for tomorrow

Eta: is Herman Johnson still the biggest baby born in Louisiana?

Definitely. Having him and Will Arnold (when healthy) on the same line was unfair.

Yes Whitworth should be on there.

Faneca and Mawae are going to be Hall of Famers. I think they are in separate category. But Whitworth has had an outstanding career.

He started 52 games at LSU, the most ever. He went 22 straight games without giving up a sack while at LSU. He won a national championship. He's a 10 year starter in the NFL.

Yes...he deserves to be mentioned with the all time greats.

he's headed into his 11th year actually. and I thought we already acknowledged him as one of the best LSU OLinemen ever.

but hey, can a guy like him ever get too much love? Geaux Whit!

If Whitworth isn't on your All Time LSU O-line list, you're retarded. Lets just put it that way.

Definitely the best offensive tackle we have put in the NFL. Just one of the positions where we have been average with talent.

Imagine this left side of the line:

Whitworth - LT
Faneca - LG
Mawae - C

If you ask me Whit has had a hall of fame career in the NFL. He's pretty much been an 11 year starter and past 5 or so seasons has been a premier LT in the league in arguably one of the toughest divisions having to play steelers and Ravens twice per year. Not sure what his sacks against are the past few years but it's very low. Just doesn't get the pub that other lineman seem to get.

listening to the NBC commentary of last week's national coverage it sounded like they were praising the Bengals tackles. I think Whitworth is a damn mountain(jags didn't touch dalton) and just like you said doesn't get the publicity.

Whitworth is one of the most underrated athletes we've ever had.

Yes, athletes.

He was an absolute stud tennis player growing up.

I had to play a basketball scrimmage against him in high school... I'm decent sized at 6'3" and he straight rag dolled my arse at will...

I never really noticed this maybe I was already being a nega

Just saw him last week and that dude is just huge and a baller. Didn't think he got the acknowledgement as much as the others I mentioned earlier. I am sure he has helped in the recruitment of top talent of OL to LSU though.
