I think Orgeron and the team "won the crowd" this weekend. CEO earned a lot of respect. There was nothing fluky about it - it was awesome. Everyone got a taste of what could be. The question is whether that team shows up every week? Orgeron and the coaching staff are paid millions to ensure the best possible product is on the field every week; that max effort is made to represent LSU through strength and pride. And the "Tiger Nation" pays for it through patronage.
That's how this works. And it's a process. From what I see, most want to believe as you do. The product on the field will determine that.

Yes you can get fired while winning, but not as quickly - which is what the AnitfOs want. Maybe they're back on board - briefly - now that we've won a couple more, but wait until the next loss or ugly win.

Ultimately, it's not a question of whether O "won the crowd" but whether he's won over Canada and Aranda. Does anyone know what part, if any, O played in the halftime adjustments or what he may have said to inspire the coaches and players? If O gets the credit that should, perhaps, go more to his coordinators and doesn't give them the credit, he could be making the situation worse. If Canada and Aranda leave at the end of year, O (and the team) is toast next year.
