Yes. They look good on paper, and in the ACC. But let's not pretend this is a program that's competing for a national championship.

I'm not sure if you're watching the college football landscape, but very few teams actually look good right now. Clemson is absolutely in the thick of the national championship race.

They're not exactly paper tigers. They recruit on an extremely high levels and are in the top 10 in producing NFL talent. you're reading way too much in Dabo's x's and o's and ignoring he's great at surrounding himself with good assistants and recruiting well.

I'm butthurt too they beat us in 2012, but it's okay to admit Clemson is a contender these days

FSU has played:
Cook's stats
Texas State(1-4) 19 carries, 156 yards, 2 TDs
USF(3-3) 30 carries, 266 yards, 3 TDs
BC (3-4) 15 carries, 54 yards
Wake Forest(3-4) 2 carries, 94 yards, 1 TD
Miami(4-2) 22 carries, 222yds, 2 TDs
Louisville(2-4) 22 carries, 163yds, 2 TDs

Cook is a good back but come on they've played 1 team with a winning record!

Thank you. They haven't played anyone even as good as Auburn yet.

He's just setting things up for when they get "Clemsoned" by FSU he can say at least they lost to a team with the best RB in the country. Dabo, always the bridesmaid and never the bride.

so let's give the fricking heisman to GASO RB Matt Breida who has 10.3ypc and 875yds

the argument is invalid and ESPN is garbage

If Cook goes over 180 on Florida then they can compare the two but right now the competition that both have faced is not comparable.

and the one stat they are keying on is YPC? it's 8.0 to 8.7 and Fournette has 50 more carries

His presser talking about the word lugubrious was funny after the ND game. Dabo is country as hell.

He still has to play dalvin. Just being a smart coach for goodness sake.

Chavis didn't call three straight passes in a running situation.

He really needs to shut up until they actually win something that matters.

Dalvin Cook almost came here, imagine if he had come here along with Fournette...

We recruited him hard, but "almost came here" is a bit of a stretch. He was just enjoying the process by paying us a visit.

I also think he overvalues his opinion with what feels like weekly soundbites from him about debatable topics with no clear answer.

Sounds like he has a future with ESPN when he retires from coaching.

How many yards do you think Fournette would have against an ACC schedule?
