Does anyone who has been to the game before know what kind of restrictions are on SLR lenses?

I think that's BS. There are wayyyy too many restrictions for this game. I'm not a photobug but it would piss me off.

Last time I went I had a 50-300mm f4.5. At first they wouldn't let me in saying it was a 'professional' lens. I showed them my tickets in the nose bleed section and they let it in.

I hope Jeff can still get some good pics for the game. I always look forward to his posts after the games.

Best thing to do is have a 50mm or 18-50 zoom on the camera and have the big gun in wife's purse or out of sight somewhere. That's what I did at Bama, where they don't allow lenses over 6".

At the Saints/Cowboys game we were told we could not bring in a camera that had a lens over 6 inches in length because it is considered a professional lens

LSU's request. Don't want any pics of Miles looking like a dumbass on the sidelines
