I wonder how much of that number is boosted from the 2013 team. That crew was unbelievable on 3rd downs that year. Didn't we lead the nation? I'd love to see where we rank 2014-2015.

Yes, but this is the time of the year where optimism and excitement rule. Lets at least save all of that humbug until the first 3 and out.

How much of that number is against scrub teams that can't stop the run?
What was the percentage of 3rd down conversions in losses?

I've learned to keep my excitement in check. Especially in July.

I've never liked having our OC in the booth, especially with a QB as shaky as Harris. Not saying every game will turn out like TT, but I'm hopeful that will at least bring some steadiness to the position.
Also, Aranda is going to wreck shop. Fournette and Guice can get every yard every game for all I care if our D is getting teams off the field on 3rd down.

Amazing that regardless of the positive news there's always a flood of negative posts like flies to feces.

I'm sure I'll go through my usual "Les needs to go" moments here and there. All part of being a Tiger fan.

can't have a borderline NFL qb and two all-pro NFL receivers every year

Make it for the last two seasons and it's a middle of the pack story.

The nine schools on this list that return their play-caller and starting QB in 2016 include Georgia Tech, Marshall, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Auburn, Tulsa Colorado State, Florida State and Air Force

Neither do other teams in the SEC, but they seem to put together competent offenses most of the time. Aside from a few scattered terrible offenses like Missouri last year and Florida under Muschamp.

Can you name one outside Bama that hasn't had a bad offensive year in the time frame mentioned?
Even aTm wasn't stellar last year and O is pretty much all they do.
