I guess it was just wishful thinking but I think there is a strong possiblility I misjudged him. maybe he overcomplicates things.

Or does he oversimplify things? Either way, 3 OCs and the look remains the same on offense.

He's not who you thought he was. He is Les Miles evil twin (in disguise).

Was he who you thought he was last season?

Do you still believe Anthony Jennings gives us our best chance at victory?

The fark board should take Jeff Dunham and Walter and turn them into Miles and Cam.

Well, we finished 7th in the SEC in total offense last year with a bunch of guys that are tearing it up in the NFL in their rookie years, so there is a chance that he wasn't who he thought he was last year as well in retrospect.

This says it all.

ETA: And it will only get harder to recruit a decent QB as anybody worth his salt will see the pattern and choose another team (even a lessor one).

We had a 3000 yard passer, two 1000 yard receivers and a 1000 yard rusher last year. By most stats it was one of the top offenses in LSU history.

In the year he won the Heisman Billy Cannon ran for 598 yards. He had only one game over 100 yards and several games under 50 yards, including 11 carries for 11 yards against Kentucky. Most of you idiots probably would have been screaming to have him benched.

Most football fans would regard these as vastly different eras. How many yards did the leading rusher have in '59?

Does it matter? He went for 11 yards on 11 carries against Kentucky! Under 40 against Mississippi State! Bench the man! Fire the coach!

We had a good offense last year and the coaches did a good job recruiting top talent. But again, we finished 7th in the SEC in total offense last year and didn't finish in the top 20 in any major category. We finished 45th in passing offense and 35th in total offense. Considering the talent, that is very average. And without a 99-yard miracle drive from a certain QB, we would have had our 4th loss against Arkansas.

PLEASE. Billy Cannon also was great on defense, he punted, kicked extra points, returned punts, etc.

Since you asked, 971. Cannon was not even in the top 20.
