Calling timeout with 5 sec on shot clock ???

coming out the timeout with a play designed to get the ball in Grays hands .........that was some Pete Carroll level failure.
Gray is the one guy you do not want to get the ball to in that situation. Why not get it to martin who can create his own shot.

Martin would obviously be a good option, but Gray is our best player off the dribble.
We didn't get a shot off. But, if you accept the position we were in, I can't really argue with putting the ball in Gray's hands.

I was just happy to see Johnny use a TO. I didn't think it was bad. Our offense was stagnant that possession

Gray has not been shooting very well and dribbles way too much, so I wouldn't give him the ball with only 5 seconds left.

Yeah, hated the call, but people are questioning the TO, TQ was either gonna turn it over or travel before the TO was called, just wish the play was better (or that gray took the shot)

Yeah, if you're gonna call a timeout with 5 seconds on the shot clock, at least have something designed. Time is of the essence and we came out with a street ball non-play.

I'm pretty sure they had a pick and roll designed for Mickey and it just failed. They probably would have been better off doing it with TQ since he's at least tall enough to get off a floater in the lane.

Maybe so, but they should have at least told Gray to shoot a mid-range jumper if the play was blown up because there was only 5 seconds to do anything and we know that Gray couldn't do anything under near the rim with all their big guys.
