LSU will be back to No. 8 in the polls after beating Auburn in two weeks and the Top 15 begins weeding itself out.

Of course the polls are meaningless but I think everyone assumes the Playoff committee will mimic them.

of course it is also possible that after beating NMSU, LSU will either barely win and drop in the polls further. Or else LSU will win unconvincingly and stay about the same. Then comes Auburn, and I don't think beating them is going to push us back to where we were before MSU. But it's something to hope for, for the next week or so. So enjoy hoping - as you said, polls are meaningless, after all.

Do not see it. The loss to MSU was no aberration. This team is weak on both sides of the ball. O-line, D-line and QB are not going to get it done unless they have been holding back intentionally.

If I were a betting person, I would bet you 100.00USD.

It's weird how your optimism is in the minority of opinions. I wonder if uga fans will be as big of a bunch of pussies as LSU fans if they lose to Tennessee.

I'm not a betting man, I'm a dreamer... gotta have faith that the play/personnel is going to improve for the better on the lines and we'll make a run

To be fair to Georgia, two SEC East losses may be insurmountable

Bigger. I lived in GA for 5 years and whenever they lost, esp. to the likes of Tennessee and LSU, it was "woulda, shoulda, coulda" for weeks at a time.

Until this team can improve on both sides of the line which I just don't see happening all of a sudden I highly doubt it. Things could change but I see no signs, as of right now of that happening. Team like Auburn, Florida, Alabama and Ole Miss are going to run it right down our freaking throats unless we can prove we can stop the run.

All I can say is time will tell. We shall see

I'll defer to your experience. I just find it hard to believe there is a bigger set of bitches than the tiger rant.

It might be a #1 and #1A toss-up. They live and breathe their Dawgs like we do our Tigahs. It is like personal pain when UGA loses, like it is for LSU.

Your defensive response to an impersonal observation is an implicit admission of your bitch made attitude. I commend your courage, sir rantard.

Love the attitude and I hope you're right. My biggest concern is the defense - more specifically its inability to stop the run consistently. Losing Freak and Ego really hurt, so now Chavis is having to use more guys in the box, which hurts us on the perimeter.

I hope you're right, but my gut feeling is that Auburn is just too good in the run game for us.
