Winning on talent

Been doing so for 10+ years, now. If we don't have the talent to overcome coaching miscues, we go 8-5. This is not a well-coached team. The RBs and DBs are coached. The DL is coached, just need depth. QB, WR, OL-pass protection, special teams and the dedense are huge question marks. The penalties and lack of focus are keeping teams in games. Definitely talent-driven. Nothing cerebral about the performances.

You have some decent points in this thread. But this last one is just ignorant to the game.

You can't just flip a switch and play good defense against top talent, when you have played so weak against inferior talent.

This is becoming comical........It's on the coaches?

Les Miles is 41-0 against non-conference opponents........that game was never in doubt.......most of y'all got your wish for and increased in the passing game early on and it stalled drives..........when we got back to being LSU under Les Miles we fricking made them look like chumps.

The standard of victory that the internet fan is trying to achieve is unattainable.

I'm ready to move onto South Carolina and win and here more bitch as we likely host the undefeated gators for a chance to really make a run.

Did you have a problem with us losing to Notre Dame? Did you have problem of how we prepared for the game?

Nothing cerebral......You don't even fricking know what that word means. You should probably google it and familiarize yourself with it.

Dude, half of this board, maybe more, have basically already conceded to Alabama.

Bunch of pussies

So last year when we went undefeated and kept winning, how did we get left out of the playoffs?

Prom--Why you say angry all the damn time? It's early in the morning on a Sunday. Don't get riled up.

Essentially everything they rant wanted to happen occurred: We came out throwing, our WRs came out dropping, and when we figured out it wasn't going to work, we bossed them with our run game.

I think people still don't understand that you can win every game you playing throwing it 15-17 times and running it 45-48 times. However, when you only have 17 chances to make something happen you have to be exponentially higher in your execution or your day looks like shite. It's basically why Les Miles said you have to make those chances count.

It is obvious LF7 is the QB of the offense. He is the leader and he carries the team. I hope from this point on he calls out anyone that thinks practice is to be taken lightly.

I see you are one of those guys that likes to talk about last year. I don't have time for that.

Last year. If you think this team in any way resembles last years team you are a fricking idiot.

I don't see much of that. In our 9 matchups with Bama under Saban, we've played all but two (2012 NCG, 2013) very close--irrespective of how well either team was otherwise doing. No one concedes a game to bama. But our O is built around the power run and Bama's D is built around stopping that. Saban actually said that his D was designed to stop LSU a couple of years ago. I'll try to dig up the quote. All we're saying is that we probably can't count on LF to truck Bama the way he's been trucking everyone else, so we need to develop other options. He is 80% of our offense right now, and that's probably not much of a statistical exaggeration.

If he meant what he said then there is ONE root to the problem - Coaching. End of story.
Team looked unprepared after EMU settled in.

I want Leonard Fournette to be 65% of my offense. He is the best player in the country. It's a fricking travesty if he doesn't get that much involvement in the game whether its Bama or Eastern Michigan.

Now you don't want to bring up the previous years because it doesn't fit your agenda?

How did they look unprepared? Was it the trick plays or the missed tackles that bothered you most in the 255 total yards and 3 int day they had?

I don't want to bring up previous years because they have no reflection what so ever on this year. It's a common place mistake for people who can't fricking talk about football.

Lets talk about this years football team baw.

Found the quote:

quote:

"We built our team to beat LSU and power football teams like Georgia," Saban said. "So when we played Texas A&M, we still had too many big slow guys out there that were good players in a certain type of game."

2014 al.com

Now this quote is from last year, but how did Georgia just do again?
