Brando can piss off. Feldman was on Dan Patrick show and talked about how poorly the SEC handled this.

Foley must have a pretty huge dick to be able to pull this off.
LSU should be filing suit right now demanding a formal classification of the game as a forfeit if Foley refuses to let his team play.

Maybe so but he's laying it on them pretty hard.

Brando makes some good points but he's way off in his assessment in some areas.
He talks about integrity of the game and then trashes South Alabama and Presbyterian as if they don't matter at all. If you're looking at this from a "big picture" standpoint of "the game," why do LSU and Florida matter more than South Alabama and Presbyterian? They deserve to play their games too.

Clay Travis was first against LSU but now he's also supporting us. Saying Florida is scared and didnt want to play from the jump

They'll play their game regardless. I think the point is looking again at the "big picture" ESPN should have spoken up and said, "we'll get viewership (which translates into 'we get more money') from airing LSU/FLA vs SA/Presb".
It's not that he doesn't care about that game, if the "big picture" is the stock in college football as a business, it's easy to see that the bigger school game is the better draw. It's like comparing the Rose/Fiesta/Orange/Sugar bowls to the State Farm, CarQuest, Meineke Bowl sponsored by Jim's Auto.

Why should LSU give up a home game all of the revenue that comes with it. In order to bail out the conference?

Brando is a fricking arse to be critical of Aleva for the McNeese game. He should know better than this. At the end of the day that was ulitmately the call by McNeese.

How does anybody know what effect that game could have on USA's bowl chances? What if winning that game was their only chance to make it to post season? Do the powers at be expect them to just walk away quietly? For the record they are currently 3-2

Matt Berry from ESPN on Finebaum put it all on Florida. Said it looks bad coupled with what FSU-Miami and Ga-SC have done.Said LSU did all it could.

The point of his "big picture" wasn't about money and TV and viewership. In fact he was trashing the role of money and TV in corrupting "the game." So no, the "big picture" is not the stock of college football as a business to Brando, it's about the integrity of the game itself.
I mean, he trashes LSU for not making up the McNeese St. game like it's worth something, and then turns around and acts like the South Alabama and Presbyterian games are worth nothing. Which is it?
This is what's always bothered me about college football. An FBS team like South Alabama could field the greatest team in college football and not win a title because no one gives a shite about them. The College Football Playoff format is helping this situation, but as long as we talk about cancelling games as if they're nothing to these kids who play them because they're not Michigan or USC or Alabama then college football is still a rigged game.

Exactly. If you look at UF twitter accounts, you'll see all these high-and-mighty blowhards posting things like "52 players on Florida's roster are from Florida's east coast. Do you really think they want to worry about a football game?"
Which sounds great - I suppose - until you consider the fact that FSU, Miami, UGA, and USC are playing. I suppose none of those teams have players from the FL, GA, or SC coast?

Well, the point is, even minimizing South Alabama, why should we give up a home game and put ourselves in the position to play 3 SEC road games in twelve days?

So what? South Alabama could be relying on this game to get into the College Football Playoffs. South Alabama is an FBS team, just because they're in the Sun Belt doesn't mean they should automatically be thrown to the side. That's not protecting the integrity of the game. It's not like they can find and schedule another school to take our place this late.

Don't doubt that Foley and the powers that be at FL are watching this closely. Public revulsion at them for taking advantage of a hurricane may well get us a game Monday.
