And i have no doubt that Jim Hawthorne said, " you see, that's what makes LSU fans so special. They are applauding the other team for a good play. These LSU fans appreciate good baseball."

Nah. He just complained about how dark it was.

I think after reading this thread, I have changed my opinion. I can't wait to get out to the Box and watch some great baseball. If a player for Brown is really fast and steals second base, "Bravo, great jump". If a player from Brown hits a1-2 curve all the other way to drive home a run, "Bravo, great at bat". If a Brown player pitcher picks off a LSU base runner, "Bravo, awesome pick off move."

How many hits on YouTube could we get if we got a Brown player to give a curtain call after a homerun?

You must have aged like 35 years since this thread started. That kind of appreciation only comes from being born before everyone else and doing a good job of not dying.

Y'all have established you hate old people, fans that in any way acknowlege their opponents great plays, Javi & Maneri, Hawthorne and Alleva, and any LSU fan that has an opinion that differs from yours. Just out of ciuriosity, is there anything you like about LSU baseball? The new Cajun menu at the Box perhaps?

No way, I have decided to quit being a LSU fan, and instead I'm going to be a fan of baseball. I doubt I even wear purple and gold to the games anymore.

You could become a Raiders fan. They hate everyone too.

Congrats on joining the side of the enlightened. I will just stay on the side of the heathens and continue to take my football mentality to the Box and actually pull for the team I want to win.

Dude, you can join me in starting this trend in football. I tried it by myself but it didn't work. When North Texas broke a slant pass for an 80 yard touchdown, I clapped for them. They are just a small school, and their receiver mad a great move on our All American safety to break free. I couldn't get more people to join me in my appreciation, but I think if you join me, we could change the culture of Tiger Stadium.

I'll try, but I sit so close to the visiting teams fans in the stadium that I fear I'll just blend in and not have the impact we're looking for. I did cheer every time Western Kentucky beat us on a crossing route when we played them 2 years ago, you know because I'm an awesome fan. I even cheered when Bama used those same plays against us in the NCG, because then I knew that Saban was as awesome a football fan as I was.

You are getting in the way of their love fest; going really great for a first date and all too.

Last season there was a good play made by a Mississippi State guy late in the close Friday night opener. People applauded. It was the 8th or so and cost LSU the go ahead run.

Or let's applaud the miss st pitcher that struck us out 39281 times when it's a tie game.

Our players are probably like, why the frick are our fans cheering the pitcher for owning us in a tie game in the 9th inning?

My only love is good baseball. I just have to applaud when I see it.

Yep. That was another good one from that game. LSU fans clapped louder for him than they did for Gausman.

"We are kicking off the year with a very difficult schedule like we have in years past," said Drabinski. "Three of our first four opponents will be ranked in the top 30 in the country. We are opening up at LSU and they are going to be ranked in the top five nationally so we will have our hands full there. We will also face Nicholls State at LSU that weekend, a team that is more on our level, so I am excited for those games. It's a great place to open, we went there three years ago and both the fans and the venue are tremendous. Its the best atmospheres in college baseball."
