"We are kicking off the year with a very difficult schedule like we have in years past," said Drabinski. "Three of our first four opponents will be ranked in the top 30 in the country. We are opening up at LSU and they are going to be ranked in the top five nationally so we will have our hands full there. We will also face Nicholls State at LSU that weekend, a team that is more on our level, so I am excited for those games. It's a great place to open, we went there three years ago and both the fans and the venue are tremendous. Its one of the best atmospheres in college baseball."

We should definitley give them a "victory lap", win or lose. That way they will love us forever.

I'm not bitter against the average LSU baseball fan. Just the "look at me" ones who put themselves over the game. And you know exactly what I'm talking about.

The fans who give Stony Brook high fives for kicking our arse so their name will be in the paper the next morning.

Yeah, that's exactly why they did it

It's not like they're college baseball fans or anything

Apparently you are.

The "average" LSU baseball fan, me included, will applaud a good play even if it's made by another team's player.

And my name has never been in the paper because of it, nor should it be.

Zealot wants to be a stud and keep that other LSU "reputation" alive and well. Probably would like to throw beer at their players.

to a fellow bitter-man like myself.

I totally see where your post comes from. The article that the OP posted is one the "LSU has the greatest and classiest and most knowledgable fans ever" crowd can jack off to.

I bet some of our fans will cook for the Brown team this weekend!!!!

Let's applaud their starting pitcher when he leaves the game!!! That's the classy thing to do and we are known for it!!

Ok I will stop now.

I don't know. I've been in a pretty sour mood the last few months.

But at least a couple of other posters know where I am coming from...that validates to me that I am not the only a-hole here...
