All this motion crap is useless. Tackles swapping sides and all that other bullshite. Our best player on offense (Guice) isn't getting enough touches. Put JD at fullback and give the ball to Guice and Williams. Run your play action off of that. I had enough of Canada's motion offense already.

It's not useless. It allows the coaches to see how the defense is playing us. We just aren't good enough up front to capitalize on any of it.

I do think they should tweak a little and give Guice a lead blocker on some inside runs. I remember Meyer tweaking his spread after we beat them in 2005 and started using his h-back as a blocker to help open up their run game.

How do people not see this?

Our OL as a unit does not play well.

MSU was able to get pressure with 3/4 guys without blitzing.

Their DL was disruptive all night even when Etling was not pressured.

Just wait until teams with better DL. AU and Bana will be licking their chops.

Grimes is just terrible.

when you swap tackles and all that shite, and not a single person on the defense moves, what was the point?

I'd like to see the I formation. I'd also like to see an empty backfield. I'd also like to see the pistol. i'd like to see us run out of the shotgun. How about a screen pass to a rb or a wr. All i want to see is some variety. We look like we run a play out of the same 3 formations all game.

I'll chalk it up to a new offense and all and give them a pass this year, but if they aren't more complex come next year with Brennan, after all the young guys have had time to learn this, then we need a new OC.

That generally tells you that they're playing zone and not man to man. Also, just because they don't run to the other side of the field doesn't mean they're not shifting assignments and responsibilities.

I swear some of you know nothing about football besides two end zones and Goal posts.

Totally agree with you on Grimes.

What's the point of moving the right tackle alongside the left tackle and running to the short side? Saw them do that several times and get stuffed. At least run to the strong side a few times.

I know, it's all deception. It's sure confusing to me, obviously not to Mississippi State.

You have one of the best RB's in Guice, let him run. Wait until we have goal to go situations, we will have problems with all the shifting and motion.

I am concerned about the lack of long runs in Canada's offense. Usually by game three Lsu has had several long runs to the house. Canada's offense hasn't had many long runs in the first three games.

The reason is probably the oline not getting to the second level, but lsu has to get more explosive in the run game. If they can't get better running lanes out of this offense then maybe they should go back to using the FB as a lead blocker.

Actually has merit. Motion with single back set isn't working that great or consistently. Might has well take the H-Back, Full Back or whatever the kids now days are calling it and run the LF type inside-outside run plays to change the pace.

Our WR appear weak as MSST was pressing man-coverage, not resecting the WRs ability to break the jam and the QB ability to deliver the slant or flat.

Can't utilize the TE it appears as you need them to help the O-line.

Just a hot mess.

i'm willing to give them a chance to fully implement Canada's offense. that said, I would have been very happy with a variation of the West Coast offense. pretty standard stuff but you use the fullback and Tight End on offense. and we would have used the I instead of the pro set, of course.
