For those of you coming to the game at Lambeau Field and staying in the Milwaukee area, here is some info about the area brewery tours: Miller Brewery; is free, open from 10-5, and you get 2 free beers at the end of the tour. They are closed Sunday and Labor Day. Lakefront Brewery; is open from 12-8 and costs $9. For the price you get the tour, 4 6 oz pours of beer, a pint glass, and a coupon for a beer at a later time at select local establishments. Each tour takes 60 people, 45 with tickets bought online, and 15 walk ups. Sprecher Brewer; the price is $6 and you get 4 beers, a souvenir glass, and unlimited soft drinks (their Root Beer is excellent). This is the tour to take if you have people under 21. You must make a reservation, either online, or you can call 414-964-2739. Milwaukee Brewery; they are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Admission is $10 and you get free samples and a token for a beer at a later time. It is not advisable to take minors on this tour. People actually get drunk on this tour. Hope this info is helpful. Feel free to ask any questions.

What about Shlotz where Laverne and Shirley worked?

Lakefront is the most fun/best one easily. If you're there Friday, go early and stay for the fish fry. MKE Brewing Company is the second best. That tour itself isn't as fun as Lakefront but you pretty much have an open bar for like an hour or so after the tour. Like he said, you can get a good buzz on that one.

Personally I would flip these. But still generally agree with your statement

Looks like Madison >>>>> Milwaukee in terms of good beer.

If you are a true fan of microbrews, make the hour and a half drive to Madison. You will not be disappointed:
Karben4
Ale Asylum
The Vintage
One Barrel
Next Door
Wisconsin Brewing Company
Capital Brewery
The Great Dane
And just less than an hour south is the best brewery in the entire state: New Glarus.
