Don't think you can redshirt a player that is going to be your #2 qb and prolly get meaningful snaps this year.

Redshirts are outdated. Only good for medical reasons. Few players with talent stay

Redshirt is really something that you just worry about after the season anyway. If he plays, no redshirt. If not, great, he gets a free year.

Really, who told you that we are not redshirting Brennan? As far as I know, no one said a word about that.

Where did you hear that? As far as I know, according to Chark, Brennan throws really well, but other than that I haven't heard he is the designated number two.
Now he did get most of the reps out of the backups in the scrimmage Saturday, but from what I'm hearing it is to get him caught up with the rest of the quarterbacks on the offense.

Well all ive been hearing is how incredible Brennan is already looking and he is out performing every QB on our team. If he is looking that good already then idk how he wont be at least the #2 option.
