They are really similar players it sounds like and they know each other well from their time at Team USA. It'll be interesting to see if try to one up each other out there. Should be a great series

I knew they had played with each other, but didn't know they had gotten so close last summer. Will be fun to see where they both get drafted since they are such similar players.

Bregman is the better all around player, but Trahan is one of the most fluid fielders I have ever seen. Both should make it far up the ranks.

I just hope Bregs can break out of this slump he is in. I know he hit the ball hard but he still went O-fer. We can't afford for him to pull this crap again like when he went into Omaha the last time.

And the Dominicans will make it hard for either of them to play SS at next level.
That's your competition.
Austin Nola probably will never sniff MLB as a starter at SS

Nola and Bregman will play off that position and Nola could have a Theriot type career

Both have this way of making it look very easy from the SS position

They both went O-fer. Trahan switch his approach to a move the runner approach instead of get a hit approach and that was the difference in their regional, honestly.

Still both really good players.

Knowing Blake and his family, you won't find a kid who's tougher mentally and physically. One thing about both of these guys is they both work very hard at their game.

Gonna be pulling for Blake but gonna pulling harder for the Tigers.

I think both will find their swings again this weekend. Too good to go hitless in two straight series. Bregman sqaured a couple of balls up and Trahan spent a lot of his ab's laying down sacs

Do you guys think the headline is incendiary? I was over on the UL board and there were people complaing about the "Skirmish" part and how ti made it same like they were going to fight it out

It's UL-L hate week, so I can't give him too much in the way of props.

But my wife taught Trahan when he was in high school. He's a good kid. Good family. And he's a helluva ballplayer.

That said, I hope he lays an egg at the plate and has 10 errors this weekend.
