Hitting collectively .374, with 42 runs, 47 rbi, 14 doubles, and 27 walks. Name some other great 3-4-5 lineups LSU has had in past. Is there a better pair in the country?

Laird - Bregman - Rhymes is a better pair.

LSU's 2009 3-4-5 was pretty damn good. I think it included Dean, Schimph, Pontiff, maybe Mahtook? (in no order)

And obviously you've got some grammar problems. Don't be dumb and you won't be corrected.

Nick Pontiff wasn't a regular in 2009. In 2009 our 3-4-5 constantly changed. I swear 7 different guys probably made up each spot that year.

Not Pontiff, you might be thinking Mitchell, but I dont think that was the 3/4/5.

Pontiff didn't start for LSU. can't remember the exact 3 in order but it was probably Dean, Schimpf, and Mahtook

There was no set 3-4-5. Go look at 5 different games and it'll probably be 3-4 different 3-4-5's.

Mahtook never really batted in the heart of the order his freshman year. He either batted second or seventh or eighth.

3-4-5 was usually some variation of Dean, Gibbs and Schimpf with Mitchell almost always hitting sixth.

Mahtook was down in the order a little, that was his freshman year. Maybe some combination of Dean, Ochinko, Gibbs, and LeMahieu?

Mahtook hit in the 3-4-5 order several times, I think in most of the CWS games in fact.

Like I said, there was no set 3-4-5 order really that year, it changed a bunch all year.

in either case, this year's version looks pretty legit as long as Bregman doesn't hit a freshman slump

Yeah, I just looked it, he started hitting in the 5-hole during the SEC tournament.

Top of the order for most of the postseason was:

Lemahieu
Schimpf
Dean
Gibbs
Mahtook
