Can Guice break the Bama curse of holding our NFL caliber running backs under 100 yards. I believe he has a chance.

In this offense, I believe so. Still might not be enough to beat Bama but since we won’t be running straight up the middle every play I think he will break a few nice runs and have a decent game.

This bama team is not on the level of teams they’ve had in the past. Guice will have to be great and both sides of the line of scrimmage will have to play their asses off.

We lost to Troy ... so, just stop.

Why do this to yourselves?

I'd be willing to bet we'll see more of Guice being successful in the short passing game than running. Probably alot of short, quick passes to Moreau as well

So all a sudden they gonna implement quick, short passes? Haven't you heard, Danny can't throw those.

This LSU oline is not on par with teams from the past either. LSU is going to get throttled. They need to just get through the game and hope they don’t have any injuries. Move on from Bama and concentrate on the remaining 3 games, which are actually winnable.

Unless we find a passing game, we may not get 100 yards total offense.

I think our one chance, our only real chance, is to break their spirit.

Get some good stops when it matters. Maybe steal an interception or force a fumble.

It will take us playing our best game of the year and fighting every down, but I don’t think it’s impossible

LSU will never beat Bama as long as the head coaches are Nick Saban and Miles or O.

The gap in on-field coaching ability is/was to big to overcome, even when LSU has a slight edge in player talent.

But Guice definitely has a shot at getting the yardage.

As long as I remember LSU, Bama has always loomed larger than life on our schedule horizon. We Tigers need to outgrow that fixation and learn to think of them as just more Tiger Bait.

I agree. I believe in this offense it's likely that he'll break 100 yards..........maybe not in rushing alone, but certainly in total yards. In this game that's really all that would matter....................getting the ball in our playmakers hands in open space. Something our past few offenses refused to try to do.

After 1/9/12 ... the Gumps have the ultimate trump card for perpetuity....unless some miracle happens in which LSU plays Bama in a rematch for the CFB championship in Birmingham...shuts them out, humiliates them, only allows them to cross midfield out of pity.

That fixation will always be there.

It'd be better for LSU if Bama would lose their fixation and look at LSU like any other game ... but, you give Little Nicky 2 weeks to get ready ... not good. Will never be good.

Or ... wait for Saban to retire ... and hope the Gumps make a moronically indefensible and terrible hire ... like we did.

I don't disagree. But the difference between this year and years past is that this offense utilizes other play makers. Bama cannot just focus on Guice.

Our OLine cannot pass protect worth a damn. This is why WRs never get completions.

I am very concerned about the personal health and safety of Lord Etling.

We need to create some turnovers. If that happens I give us a chance. Aranda kept Bama in check last year. Hurts can hurt you with his legs but is all too human when asked to beat you through the air. If our defense can give us short fields and we pop a few plays we might have a shot to win.

The key is going to be not needing our offense to drive the length of the field multiple times because I just don't see that happening. If the D can keep their run game in check and keep Hurts in the pocket I think we have a puncher's chance. That being said, I don't expect us to win this game.
