Not a nega tiger at all. Just saying we dont need to bash Miles in every thread because he may just be the best coach we see here for a long time.

Also leave the poli board stuff where it belongs.

well miles lost plenty of games because he was stubborn. don't think he deserves such a high pedestal

Just my opinion

The irony. He is basically responsible for getting both of them canned

You're an idiot. He's not responsible for that. Miles and Cam refused to change their offensive philosophy. Miles said that he went and studied team like UNC for their spread offense, then he continues to run the same exact dinosaur offense that he's been running for years.

Even with Etling raising the QB play from bad to barely average, and a defense that almost refused to give up TDs, LSU still lost 3 games he started.

That doesn't really negate the fact that our best, longest-sustained run of success came under Les

never said it wasn't but I feel that the same things people are saying wait on coach O to do this were there same things miles struggled with. his last four years were painful to watch.

he also lucked out 3 or 4 times

It is highly unlikely LSU will ever have a coach with Miles' win % and trophy list again

Maybe not but I'd rather not be subjected to that brand of football ever again if possible.

Im still waiting for the list of 63 year old coaches getting offers. Outside of Saban, carroll and Belichick no one is handing the reigns over to a 63 year old.

Well undoubtedly....but also the absolute most BORING, conservative, one-dimensional brand as well.

Plenty of 60 yrs olds got offers at some point in their sixties. I named plenty in the last thread. Not all power 5 but hey if Miles wants to coach bad enough he better take what he can get

I watched JaMarcus Russell, Buster Davis, Dwayne Bowe, Honey Badger, Patrick Peterson, Glen Dorsey, Dreadlocks of Doom, Keiland Williams, Leonard Fournette, Jeremy Hill, the beatdown of Miami in the Peach Bowl, the blowout of Oregon in '11, the blowouts of pretty much everyone else in '11, the whipping of Ohio State in the '07 Championship Game, crushing Georgia in the '11 SEC Championship Game, beating Bama on a tight-end-around in '10, fake fgs against Urban & Spurrier, the thrilling Katrina-win at Arizona State, the tremendous performance the rest of that season against unprecedented hardship, Jacob Hester, Jarvis Landry, OBJ, Brad Wing; I can think of a lot of ways to describe Les Miles' tenure at LSU. But "absolute most BORING" is certainly not one of them.

In the words of one of LSU's most interesting -- and successful -- coaches,

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

Didn't Bill Snyder retire 66 and was hired at 69. He is a true HoF coach IMO because he did so much more with more restrictions and less $$. Let's see if they rename Tiger Stadium Miles - McClendon Stadium or Saban- McClendon Stadium. Which has the higher probability?

I don't know who would go more apeshit the spurned LSU fans or the Gumps if you named it Saban-McClendon stadium. lol
