Of course not this year, but when we go into the off season. I think the right decision was made to bench him in favor of Etling. I just feel bad for him cause Miles & Cam failed him and so many other QB's by not developing him and teaching him proper technique to be a successful QB. With another OC coming in and us going to the spread I think he will be able to shine. I still remember him coming in against State and wowing us. I hope it works out for him even if its not at LSU.

Can we not have another thread that's going to cause one of our QB's to receive some down talk or bashing?

Happened everyday this year.

I don't feel sorry for him at all, but I agree that he deserves a shot. When the offense changes like O says it will, all QBS deserve a shot to start. Full scale QB competition will be good for them all.

Shouldn't you be looking at possible transfer schools, Brandon?

Dude, Etling may not be a 5 star QB, but you have to admit he's better than Harris for this *new* type of offense.

Why do people still not get this?

Next season is about the future, not a one season effort to resurrect Harris.

This!

If we have to train someone, let it be an underclassman who will stay for several years.

I never understand these types of threads, sounding like the player does not have a shot. How ridiculous! If any player excels at their position they will be on the field on game day.

I call BS. BH had more development than most other QB's. he was constantly going to camps, like the Manning camp, and had a private coach.

however, I agree that he should get another shot. and I think he will. there is spring and fall practices. he is yet to prove he is comfortable in the pocket (pocket awareness) and his accuracy is acceptable in a game. I also feel sorry for him but that's the nature of competition. there are winners and there are losers. he was LSU's starter for over a year, about 15 games and showed no improvement. i'm not going to say he isn't a late bloomer but at this point, I think he's a backup. which is important.
