What's the difference between 8 - 4 and 9 - 3 as far as bowl games go? Alabama/Georgia will go to the Playoff and the other to the Sugar Bowl, but would 9 - 3 get us a New Year's Six bowl?

Wait. I thought we were going to be lucky to be bowl eligible? Are we still firing Orgeron? I'm so confused.

well, keep in mind that the Sugar Bowl is one of the playoff games this year...

I would say that it depends...if we have lunacy like the last week of the 2007 season went, there is a possibility...

With some of the teams getting upset the last few weeks (USC, Wazzou, Washington, Clemson, Michigan) I could honestly see a scenario where both UGA and Alabama make the playoffs.

Would take the dominoes falling in the right way, but if the SECCG is close and the only loss for that team, then I could see it if there aren't 3 other undefeated conference champions.

Sugar Bowl is part of the playoffs this year, so the SEC team that makes the playoffs will be in this slot.

LSU just needs to beat Bama in the regular season and beat UGA in the SECCG.

Didn't Pitt beat West Virginia to let us in the NCG in 07? Stanger things have happen

I think if the loser of this game has only that loss they could possibly both be in top 4, depending on status of other conference winner. Especially the pac 12 winner this year could be the odd man out. Then the Big 10 could cannibalize itself as well...just saying its possible

No, I think we are well past that point. We just have to come out of Bama without any more major injuries and 8-4 is very likely at this point 9-3 possible
