I gotta tell you I think JA and King Alexander ought to be fired. I was ok with keeping quiet last week and letting the season play out. But how they could watch that game in relation to the last three weeks and think keeping Miles is the right choice is beyond me. They made this whole thing look bad as of last night with their decision.

There is no backbone here. Invertebrates. Alleva said he would wait until after the season ended to state Miles' condition. Also--don't you realize that, if Alleva let boosters pay off the remainder of the contract, the Athletic program would no longer be controlled by the Administration and Trustees but my any rich group who came along? LSU is run by those put in place to run the educational institutions in the State of Louisiana, not by the whims of a bunch of people who change their minds with the seasons. When athletics becomes a god, like as happened to some on this website, priorities get all bent out of shape and anger takes control. Anger is the gun that has assassinated numerous people--perhaps we need a different type of gun control here.

I would have been happy w/ a new coach. I can live w/ Miles back next year, particularly considering the talent on hand, and the players committed (but not signed yet!). What I can't live with is keeping Miles, and creating fodder for opposing coaches in the recruiting wars!

My inside source is my arse and it says that nothing will happen. Les will hire a new OC and we'll minor changes in offense. Joe Alleva will be back and ticket prices will go up.

I'm laughing pretty heartily at this. Some windbag(s) who give a lot of money thought they were going to call up the AD and the board and hire and fire the head coach.

Just look at the way USCw's Pat Hayden is handling his coaching change/search. You hear nothing, especially nothing being leaked out his athletic dept. As for the boosters, that "Fire AlLeva" sign that was hanging from a suite & taken down at half: safe to assume that only boosters have access to purchasing those suites? Speaks for itself that that sign was hung.
