but that Etling, Boutte, Moore, and Malone really shite the bed and it wasn't the coaches fault that they didn't execute. Said the coaches put the players in a position to do well. This after watching the film a couple of times. Just saying, not propping up O. I still would like Jimbo and retain O as dline coach

If you haven't watched Greg McElroy's breakdown of the multiple plays where LF got too anxious and took the wrong cut. There were 4-5 plays where if LF cut the way the play was blocked, he would have had a long run and on two of them, took it to the house.

To be fair there were some things in 2nd quarter that were looking good for the offense but in the 2nd half bama owned top. After the TE released and caught that pass I thought it was a mistake to try and go down field. They pressed and got burned. They should have stayed with the short pass imo

The o-line sucks, when it comes to playing great defenses.......Bigger---better--players are needed in the future, & that will take 3 to 4 years to see the improvement....

I think you are probably referring to those times when LF should have cut left but went right.

I am sick of this broken record- Oline sucks, Oline sucks, Oline sucks.

I thought Les was an Oline guru? I am looking forward to having a well coached team from top to bottom again, the D has done a 180 and seems to be playing eith technique again.

Yeah I re-watched the game yesterday before the election results started rolling in (MAGA!) and the first half gameplan really wasn't that flawed. Etling missed a couple of passes that would have moved the chains and extended drives and that really hurt us. Second half our offense pressed and Etling and the O-line shite the bed.

As for LF7 he had a really rough game. He pressed way way too much and just bulldozed into holes that weren't there. Oh what could have been if he exhibited a little more patience running the ball.

Guice only got the ball TWICE!!! He did ok and hit the holes imo. Should have let him get a few more tries (atleast 5-7 more carries)

He showed two plays. Had Fournette cut left the first time, he might have gotten 3 yards, instead of minus 5, which would have been huge actually.
the other play was the idiot ref play. It's a lot easier to say what cut a guy should immediately do that just caught a ball running over the middle assuming someone is right on his arse(even though they weren't) when you're watching on a tv in slow mo from multiple angles.

It was fine the only complaint I had was not giving Guice a chance to mix it up

I don't care what you think of the gameplan, if you can't score any points when other teams are putting up 20, 30 and 40 points, then it was a bad gamplan.

I think it was a combination of LF and the o-line, it is never one or the other when it comes to the running game, success or failure is based on both parties working together.

He really laid into JD Moore this morning.

I'll have to go back and watch.

Aranda and Jenkins did what you are saying in less than a year...with the same exact players that underperformed last year.

Oh what could have been if we used a running back rotation. Maybe Guice or Williams could have shown the patience that Fournette has not been able to for the last 2 years, but because they weren't given enough of a chance we'll never know.

CLick the link and watch the video. I know McElroy is a Alabama guy, but I agree with what he shows. If Fournette does not press there may have been a different outcome.
