Just a little something to give you a good laugh before the weekend starts:

quote:

After watching LSU vs. MMST, this why they LSU would lose:the BSU defense is stifling and if 19 points is the most they could score tonite, the LSU QB would not have the time to pass like tonite. There would many 3 and outs and sacks. The BSU secondary is very good. the LSU D line maybe bigger but the BSU game pace would tire them and the the Bronco offense would demolish LSU in the late 3rd and 4th quarters. I have an open mind when comes to SEC football and watch every weekend when BSU isn't playing and I watch and compare. Tonite I imagined LSU vs. BSU playing (maybe) and i truly beleive that BSU would beat LSU by 14 -21 points this year. I predict Alabama beats LSU. I watched Alabama/Penn State and i believe Alabama has the best defense, BSU is close, but the Alabama offense is suspect. Who knows? I still beleive Boise would beat LSU. Period. I am a humble fan but performance is the proof.

A solid response from one:

quote:

Wow. Boise st beats LSU handily huh? Did you watch the game? I have no doubt that Boise could be competitive, but win, and not just that, win by two possessions? Wow. Lemme sell you on a few things. 1) not one, and let's repeat that, not ONE of your receivers is bigger or more physical than ANY of the dbs that LSU fields. Kellen Moore is a great qb, but dudes have to get open, and that would be difficult considering you don't do anything that isn't old hat to this defense. No no-huddle, no wacky formations, no wrinkles outside of trick plays. Speaking of trick plays, this might be the only team that would run more against you than you would. Pro set straight up, LSU would murder your Oline. 2) As good as your dline is, this team doesnt pass enough to pin the ears back. Power left, power right, dives, and on second and two, slant. Lee has thrown 27 passes all year. No shotgun except on obvious plays. Your front seven had best come with the back ups ready to play. 3) If you do play LSU, it would either be in the sugar bowl (good luck with that), or a bcs title game (again, in new Orleans, good luck with that). This isn't Georgia. That defense is a game changer. Not enough playmakers, LSU wins by 3 or 30, and it doesn't matter because that's how they win. No amount of offensive scheming can beat that defense with the guys you have running it. Last year, different story, but unlike the sec'ers, I don't need to try to insult you or bring up the past. This season, no way.

I would love it, as when LSU plays teams in bowl games, and kicks butt, the teams end up as shells of thier former selves for a few years. No Boise St on the horizon for a few years.

If Boise plays ANY SEC team in the BCSCG, it will be 6th in a row for the conference

I'd hate to see that. I guess you would still deserve it if you won the SEC but what do you gain by beating them?

Likewise, they would have a puncher's chance against you guys. Their defensive line is very talented and deep.

What makes you think they'd get there? Likewise, have you watched their defensive line? Their defense would keep them in any game. Not much gained playing them.

As much as it's a nothing to gain scenario, I would love to play them for the MNC. The problem with Boise is if you win you were supposed to, and if you Lose it validates them and makes you look that much worse. However I really want to stomp their dicks in the dirt and show them what a real powerhouse is. None of that UGA or VT or big game bob bullshite.

ETA: as to why Bison Duck, I just want to crush their hopes. Just really open their eyes to where they stand. Put them back in their place. I'm really tired of Boise. They claim to be up to par with the SEC, yet they go and join the MWC.

Nevada's offense last year was downright sick, dude.

ETA: some team needs to implement the pistol in the SEC. It is a downhill physical running attack that isn't prone to tackles for loss like the zone read.

Did Boise just get hit with scholie reductions and 3 years of probation, or was someone blowing smoke? If so what did they do?

They were letting the incoming class couch surf during summer voluntary workouts (the staff was actually organizing it). Deemed in impermissible benefit and occurred over a 5 year period.

The gain would be the benefit to all AQ conference members. If LSU beat Boise 49-6 in a BCS championship game, it would be long time before voters would put another non-AQ team in the championship.

The fact that we would shut their mouths up ...(Boise) talking all this crap about how bad they would beat us....LSU IS NOT GEORGIA...much less ALABAMA...if you want to brag, come play the BIG BOYS FROM THE SEC..then we'll talk...

Agreed. However, if you're going to talk about beating top sec teams you should be able to beat nevada with a possible national championship on the line.

Every team ranked above them has a greater chance to lose games bc of playing better teams, as well as conference championships. Arent the rest of their games cupcakes?
