Not many have actually talked about the 3 to tie the ball game. This game might be where he turned the corner. If he starts getting hot, we are unstoppable.

His defense and rebounding from the guard spot have been really good the past 2 or 3 weeks. If his shot starts falling he will become a dangerous threat.

Well he was in a slump, but he's definitely been coming out of it for a few games now.

If he hits a couple big shots at Auburn, I'm ready to say he's back.

This.

Love his rebounding. He gets up there and high points the ball. Not too many people can jump like him, and add in the fact that he goes up and reaches for the ball with his long arms, and it's extremely hard for someone to get a rebound over him.

And he's been way more efficient from the field the last 6 games. Shootout over 50% from the field in those games. Seems like he's figured it out mentally and is making better decisions. Not forcing his shot as much, waiting for those good looks, and is making the extra pass more than he did early on.

Really like what I've been seeing from AB.

He really is claw. He's never been timid about shooting or taking the big shot (see Arkansas) but now he's starting to hit some.

And he's improved dramatically defensively from earlier in the year. Good to see and good for us cause we need him considering what we need to do going forward.

An off the dribble 3 like that is one of the hardest shots to make when no ones guarding you. Add in a defender, the game situation, that's an unbelievable make.

Agree 100%. He is absolutely the missing key for this team.

Him and Victor are why we were ahead in the first half (along with good Quarterman)

That was a huge shot. He doesn't have prototypical size but he is so talented. He slso has work ethic for days so he's going to keep improving.

If only he'll start attacking the rim. That's the only thing that's missing

He's a 6'4 SG... That's pretty much the average height of SGs in the NBA.

If you meant he is thin, I agree with that. He's thin and has narrow shoulders. But he has the length and athleticism to overcome that. I mean he is a SG and plays on the perimeter a lot. Not like he's gonna be posting people up and what not.

Blakeny has been playing really solid D for a while now. I think he knew he had to step it up when he started slumping offensively

Yea i was referring to his frame. There are some bigger guards at the next level, but he has the skills and work ethic to get there. I wish we would take advantage of his athleticism a little more and move him off the ball more but that would require an actual halfcourt scheme

Blakeney has been playing good basketball of late. He could be a big key to future success.

I don't think He does but if he did stay for all four years he could be as good as Buddy imo.

Of course Tone has no interest in being in college for four years Im pretty sure

We'll be lucky to have him for 2.. I agree with you though, he could be an LSU great if he stayed for 3 or 4

If you watched any of his high school games and the all-star games....where he really seemed to excel to me was going to the basket and cleaning up second chance shots. And he is excellent in transition. Even when he is struggling from 3 point land, he can still be a tremendous asset going to the hole. (Dude can flat out jump out the gym.)

He's a shorter guard so attacking the rim with his size is harder. He'll get better as he ages.
