He said eff it these past games and has completely taken over. Jones has ruined this Kid's college career. He's not letting this season run him into the ground anymore.

Last 3 weeks 31 & 5 , 21 pts, and 22 tonight at the half. His shooting has been efficient.

He has a ways to go, frankly. Talented kid that can certainly play in the NBA, but he is a second round pick, at best, right now.

2nd round better than undrafted. He deserves to be in the league. If he keeps this up for the rest of the season and kills the combine, he'll get his shot.

when has this ever stopped an LSU before from leaving when they still have eligibility?

If he receives a 2nd round grade, he's as good as gone imo.

I certainly hope he gets a shot, but if what you say here is true, then shame on him. whatever you do in life, it is your duty to give it your absolute all and put out 100% every day regardless of the situation...not to lay back until something kicks you into gear.

I understand that this is just another creative way to bash a lame-duck coach, but I would hope that blakeney is more competitive than what you are describing.

With the right development plan and coaching staff, Blakeney gets pt in the NBA.

I'm in Denver on business and last night bought cheap seats and saw Johnny O'Bryant and the Nuggets take down Golden State.

Anything can happen and AB had a lot of potential.

So disappointed in last year

His options are

A. Transfer to a decent program, redshirt and have two years to play. Work on his game and hope to get drafted in the first round.

B. Enter the draft, go undrafted, play in the "G League" or Europe and try to break into the NBA that way.

Option B probably makes more sense unless he wanted to pursue a graduate degree. I doubt that's the case though.

Agreed! He and the Davis kid should have cashed in last season while their stock was high.

It hasn't been. Blakeney is talented but his draft ceiling is capped by his size

He's athletic and can score but he's a 6'4'' streaky shooter. With half of the second round now being overseas stashes it's not a good outlook for him.

Blakeney does not play defense. Period.
Notice he never fouls out and rarely has more than 2 fouls per game?

I've always pictured him on the spurs for some reason.

I swear, Blakeney should have the greenest of green lights to shoot 30 shots a game.

Give us something to watch in these games. I want to see him put up 40+ a few times

He can score the points and wish Blakney the best of luck next year in the NBA.

I want to believe this is how you really evaluate good defense.
