"Everybody was sad and mad," Blakeney said of the mood in the locker room after the loss to the Wildcats. "Everybody wants to point the finger at each other. It's crazy."

"Leadership is a problem," he added. "A leader has to lead by example more than his mouth. This team has a lot of leading by talking and not by example."

Sounds like they have totally fallen apart. It starts with the coach.

You want real leadership, get a real coach, end of story

Leadership starts at the very top.

Coaching.

I think today was a good lesson on how important coaching can be.

One one side we have a talented team who has not really progresses much this year.

On the other side we have a talented team that has made tremendous strides.

We beat them in the first game because we were better than them. They beat us the second game because they are now much better than us.

Good to know they're figuring that out with 0 regular season games left.

Everyone wants to point the finger at the coach at I totally get that, but at some point the players have to take some responsibility. This team doesn't have a natural leader that will drag the team and put them on his back.

I want him to come back and lead this team next season. Love this kids attitude and his play the last half of the season has been excellent.

Blakeney cares, and he's proven it by the way he's played the last month. That Tennessee game where obviously no one else gave a shite, dude was balling his arse off. He was the only one.

He's earned the right to say that IMHO.

Yes. Players need to be responsible. But JJ calls no plays, can't call timeouts when we need them, struggles with shifting up a cold rotation, we still can't in bound the ball well and we turn it over far too much.

This is mostly coaching.

Agreed. He is by far my favorite player. He could explode next year.

EXACTLY Teams like this years team is when you need a coach with discipline and good Xs and Os and knows how to lead the young guys. This is what seperates Coaches from Great coaches. We know we have a Recruiter here, thats just about it. I wouldnt even consider Jones a coach

Very sad comments, but I do love that he seems to care. Just obviously a huge program issue

I think Simmons and Blakeney are completely fine.

I think that they both have an issue with Quarterman. Both have been denied the ball for some fricking reason
