I do have an old laptop that I don't mind getting viruses on, so I could use one of those fake IP addresses that makes it look like I'm in another state.
Does anyone else have any computer friendly ways to watch? (Something similar to J-TV?)

VPN is virtual private network. That means it creates a "tunnel" through the internet to a server somewhere else (let's say Chicago). Traffic goes through the tunnel to Chicago and then out onto the internet at large from there. Whoever is on the receiving end thinks the traffic originates from Chicago instead of where ever you are.

Had this happen last time. Wasn't really a virus, just couldn't close out the application and was very difficult to uninstall.

I have DIrectv Now. Should be able to change my viewing zip code to a location that is not blacked out.

i use chromecast for my ipad. there's a free app that you can turn off an on for VPN. when it's on, you won't be blacked out. watch espn + vpn+ chromecast and you can watch the game on your tv screen.

But Direct still doesn't have Cox. Does the zip code effect Watch ESPN?
