Les Miles likes to acknowledge big games with players and fans alike.
Saban prefers to downplay the big game atmosphere and tries to have his players treat every game equally.
I am a Les Miles proponent and as a fan enjoy his approach to big games but I tend to think the Nick Saban big game approach is more affective with the players.
Players can come out super hyped which creates an energy drain and more mental stress leading to poor performance at the end of games.
The Saban approach seems to have been more successful at the end of games the last few years.
Opinions?

*in the media

You can bet your sweet arse that on the practice field and in the locker room there is a different speech before a big game than there is before the ULM game

Neither coach is going to have a boring game plan secure in the knowledge that we can wear down the other team to take the lead and hold onto it at the end. Nick was right in saying while it might be run-centered, things like reverses on fourth and 1 win games like this. It's about being gutsy and motivated for both despite the very different approach to the media.
