I was very surprised and saddened to hear this. I hardly ever missed his show with "The Bandit" on KPEL Radio Sunday mornings. He and Bandit also did play by play for Breaux Bridge High School Football games. Some classic Broadcasts...He would always begin his sentences with "I tell you what..." in his classic Cajun accent. He was also big in AAU Basketball. He really is a legend in this area and will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

i ran into Stephanie Crist at the Festival tonight and she told me of Big Dave's passing
totally bummed me out as Dave was a great human being who always had a smile on his face . He and I shared many conversations about HS BBall players fron NOLA , specifically Donald Royal, Perry McDonald , Kerry Kittles, and Dwayne Bryant
prayers for his family and the 1420am community
RIP Big Dave , you will never be forgotten
