Here come the billy badasses claiming that a 5 minute practice drill (strictly for the players to have something fun and get hyped about) is awful and doesn't help the team in any way.

I for one still mark out for this every time they post a new video. I enjoy seeing the kids go at it, and Les seems to really embrace the ringleader role and have fun with it.
To me, the BCD is a nice appetizer. It's no substitute for actual football but still nice to have as you wait. If you want to see some real REAL FUBAW you can always fire up rnolan53's youtube page.

I pay attention to it. I remember Michael Brockers coming out of the summer with 20-30 plus pounds and making Will Blackwell cry uncle in that drill. If a D-Tackle stands out and can defeat a starting o-lineman one on one then has to be double teamed. That is huge for the D-line! I haven't seen anyone dominate an O-lineman since Bennie Logan. I want to see Lacouture, Godchaux, Thomas or Gilmore do this to a starting O-lineman this fall.

Rather than have 100 guys stand around, watching 2 guys square off, maybe we could work on ...I don't know..... blocking and tackling. Maybe throwing some slants?

Me too, why the team doesn't practice actual plays or game situations really boggles the mind. I mean what is the deal with that sled they push around anyway, that never happens in a game.
