I don't know if Thompson is considered a surprise, but he was definitely an unknown and he's been lights out.

None of those are really surprising. I'm a little surprised we are using our best receiver at punt returner though, especially considering we supposedly moved a safety to receiver bc receivers were lacking.

Greedy looks like he's stepped right into that role of great CB's at LSU. It's still early, but the guy has shown everything you could want to see so far this season. He was a little unexpected I guess you could say, but not really surprising since it seems that it's just next man up in the defensive backfield and that's one hell of a great thing to watch.

Thompson's pass rush ability has been a nice surprise. I doubt many people would guess he started out as a safety if they didn't know it already.

Greedy all the way. He reminds me so much of Mo its not even funny. Crazy balls skills and an amazing man coverage corner. He will be a first rounder if he keeps this up.

I think Chark as a punt returner has been incredible. He looks like a number 7 for sure.

I don't think he is like Mo at all but I'm loving the way he plays

Gotta go with Greedy he jumps off the screen even by our DBs standards. Plus his youth and future promise make him more surprising than Brumfield.

Greedy wasn't supposed to be a starter. So big surprise there.

I'm not going with Greedy as a surprise just because it was a poorly kept secret in spring and fall practice how he was balling.

I'm going with Rashard Lawrence. I was worried we had no interior DL that forced the other team to game plan around that position. Hope he gets healthy.

I agree. It's hard to list just one. Thompson having that kind of passing rushing ability will be huge this year. Offensive lines are gonna be trying to figure out who the hell they need to block.

Im surprised at how well Danny Etling is playing, he looks totally different from last year and i can see the improvement he has made with his deep balls and accuracy. Shout out to Coach Canada on a job well done with Etling.

Everybody we expected limited production from. There's too many. Greedy, Thompson, Vincent, chaisson, Darrel Williams, helaire, Dillon AND Gage. It has made this season so fun to watch.

Chark looks unbelievable this year , never thought that lanky kid from Alexandria would turn into this type of playmaker . Thompson on defense .

You're not surprised that Brumfield has been our best Olineman, Greedy our best DB and that Corey has 3-1/2 sacks. But you are surprised that one of our biggest playmakers, with the best hands on the team is returning punts?
