When he hit that over the shoulder 40 yard pass to Richard Dirckson, I was like, "welp, it's over"

iirc, I don't even think he was throwing to Dickson on that play. one of the WRs was in the area (Buster I believe) and Dickson kinda picked it off.

eta: actually, I'm wrong. scramble drill, JR was going to Dickson.

around the 3:15 mark LINK

Flynn came in after we were up big, threw a pick 6, and Jimbo sent JR back out.

I would venture to say that the top 2 LSU QB performances were both Rohan.

1) 2001 Alabama
35-44 for 528 yards 2 TDs 1 Int

2) 2001 Illinois (Jan 1, 2002)
31-53 for 444 yards 3 TDs 0 Int

Hell of a line and hell of a game, but I don't think it belongs here

When you factor in who was on the other side of the ball, I think it is worth mentioning. If you were in the stadium that night, you know it was truly one of the better performances by an LSU QB. He was flat out dominant that night.

the best two that i've seen in person for/against LSU:

Davey vs Bama 01. just crazy how locked in he was and even crazier how reed just lived open that whole game.

Against LSU was Tim Couch. THe thing with that game was we weren't even covering badly the dude just kept hitting bullseyes in tight spaces. very brees/warner-esque.

i watched him beat the saints too. was probably his only good game as a pro. he even hit a hail mary before halftime. ugh.

That Jamarcus game against Miss St. was flawless. I think those numbers basically came in the first half too.

JR was awesome in that one.

5 total TD's, 7 strait drives with a td after watching the worse 7 drives lead by a qb at LSU against such a terrible opponent.

In all seriousness, Rohan vs Bama
JR's game against ND got him to be the #1 pick in the draft.
I'll take Herb's game against UF in '97 as well.

Mett @ UGA

It came in a losing effort, but he made some HUGE throws in that game. He was converting 3rd and longs with a great throw seemingly every drive.

35-44 for 528 yards 2 TDs 1 Int

2) 2001 Illinois (Jan 1, 2002)

So Rohan was a combined 66-97 for 972 yards, 5 TDs and 1 INT.

Jamarcus vs MSU in '05 and '06 was a combined
39-44 for 535 yards and 5 TDs.

Others:
Tommy Hodson vs Tennessee in 1989: 31 of 49 for 438 yards and 0 INTs.
Matt Mauck was 18-20 (including his first 14 in a row) and 4 TDs vs La. Tech in 2003.

LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson had one of his more complete games, completing 10-of-19 passes for 158 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. He also ran for 67 yards on 12 carries with a touchdown

Not the best game by any means for an LSU qb but a solid performance that began our domination of ATM.
