1994 LSU losing to Southern Miss and Seymour the eagle flipping off the LSU student section was defintely a tough time to be an LSU fan.

"Crazy bout Curley"

Thanks Joe for putting us all through that debacle. I mean really, how bad do you have to be to ever have a losing season with the resources LSU has?

Its insane. We just need program managers for the rest of eternity and we shouldn't go below 7-8 wins at our very lowest valley from this point forward.

That's not as bad as LSU losing to UAB in 2000.

yeah because this board LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVEESSSS 7-8 win seasons.

i went to bama one year where we beat them 26-0. they lost to La Tech the week before they played us.

no one is immune to their program going into the shitter, and hardly anyone is winning conf and national championships with program managers. (which i think is what.....? like the trent dilfer of coaches????)

I'd love a program manager this year who would sit back and let his coordinators call plays.

worst times: early 90's

best times: '95-'97 the magic came back, we made bowl games, had some great wins (ie: Auburn '95 and Florida '97) and there were very few spoiled idiot fans b/c all appreciated what was happening.

Can you even imagine this board now, having to go through the Curley years, and a few DiNardo ones? it's freaking bad enough now

Losing to Miami Ohio...back in the late 80s was really bad, but yes, the early 90's would have been the worst.

From Athlon. Don't give them the web hits. They hate you.

There is nothing insightful unless you're under 10 and never followed LSU football.

FWIW, Colorado State in 92 is a horrible game. I went to it visiting family in Louisiana while living in Ft Collins. CSU was horrible, beyond horrible, like hadn't been to a bowl game since the 40s and was a perennial WAC doormat and pulled off the win. I couldn't believe it. No one could believe they won on the road, let alone against a team with actual historical significance. They got better about 3 years later.

Where do you get this fable from?
I think I've seen a playsheet in Miles hand maybe half a dozen times, a few in 2010 and one pic posted here by Doc.
Search and you'll find seal claps, grazing, ear drilling, and about every compromising pic imaginable of Les-the-Media-Obsession, but practically no playsheets.
The hand of the coach that has supposedly taken the calls away from multiple OCs for 6 years now should accidently get a photos occasionally even if there was some conspiracy of hiring figurehead OCs.

How can the Dietzel years be the worst. One natty, 2 Sugar Bowls, one undefeated season, a one loss season, one hiesmen winner, just off the top of my head.

Athlon needs to do some real work. What a rag.

They left off a #1 overall draft pick as a "notable player"

Up until the first NC our successes seemed appreciated. After that they seemed expected.

Before that it seems we argued over the worth of our program with other fans. Since then we argue more with our own fans.

At times going up the hill is more exciting than staying at the top. I love just about everything about LSU football except some of our spoiled, entitled fans that have totally lost perspective on our team and coaches.

Best:
From about 7 a.m. till about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2012

Worst:
9:30 p.m. - on, or whenever we let those toothless teafagging gumpnecks score with a minute left in the game......

That loss wasn't as dreadful as the losses to Colorado St. in '92, USM in '94, Houston in '99 or UAB in 2000. Miami wasn't horrible & did win its conference in that yr (1986).

Southern Miss was a strong program back then. Losing to UAB and Miami of Ohio was much worse. LSU had some losses to some weak Ole Miss teams and Vandy too around that time that were just as bad IMO.
