You are 100 percent correct. Will he stay? No. Should he stay to be coached by JJ? No. Should he stay to play another year and grow and develop? Yes. He has a whole lot of work to do but we are not using him correctly.

yeah he should stay at least another year. If for nothing else to toughen up, and be more a force on the floor, because players in the NBA will eat him up.

He should to go in as a man who has some experience in leading a team not a developing man. He won't though so don't waist your wet dreams on it.

If you think Simmons is staying another year, then you're a true retard.

So if you won the lottery you'd turn it down to stay an extra year at LSU if you'd "almost certainly" win it next year.

He can go. Isn't anything too impressive in all honesty.

Maybe the kid is enjoying college and has dreams of an NIT championship next year.

He gone!! BTW only way Johnny Jones isn't fired next year. We don't have any studs this next recruiting class, and we're losing hornsby, quatermen, Grey, Simmons. Next LSU basketball will be horrible with JJ at the helm.

I agree that Simmons would benefit from returning to college but don't expect the resident "geniuses" on this board to agree. They are convinced that Simmons is the greatest at everything even though he has flaws in his game which are obvious.

He will go and to be honest I don't really care. Simmons is only in college as a warm up anyway. Whatever college he would have attended it would be the same situation. The NBA taking these kids so young has ruined college basketball and downgraded the quality of play in the NBA.

I have said this all year long. Johnny Jones should watch film of Blake Griffin at OU. He should run that offense for Simmons when he isn't playing the 1
