Ben Simmons is the only D1 player in the last 20 years with at least 80 Pts, 70 Reb & 30 Ast in the 1st 5 games.

And yet we lost to two unranked teams.

What a damn waste of talent.

Hopefully this is a kick in the arse and we turn it around. Blakeney has to get hot to beat the good teams.

All of his talent and accomplishments are going to make it that much worse when LSU is fighting for an NIT bid at the end of the season.

Since LSU is firing Les, might as well Fire Jones for this waste of championship talent.

One program can attract elite replacements. One can't.

Chill, when the Great Hornsby comes back its over! Gonna win 12 in a row.

Naw its going to take victor and robinson some offensive effort to open up the paint so simmons can complete his only offense move, dunk on people.

Give it time. I'm frustrated too, but this team will get there. I've actually been encouraged by the improvement that I've seen in some of the players not named Simmons. Antonio will get there, too.

though im looking at the all american teams from 1995.

Kerry Kittles could be a possibility as well as damon stoudamire or ray allen

Johnny Jones has raised LSU basketball from the dead

Miles inherited a championship program

Very intelligent comparison

Idk man the NIT is pretty exclusive, but I'm sure they might want our super freshman to boost their rankings

no, John Brady did that. Brady made this program a relevant place for skilled players to go to again, and got to the Final Four.
Trent Johnson had an SEC champ team in his first season, and played UNC tighter than anyone else in the tourney that year. If that team were to play Carolina in a best of seven series, it would have went 5 games, maybe 6. Johnson didn't keep the recruits coming in, but it definitely wasn't "dead" except for atmosphere.

No way those dudes were bringing down 70 rebounds in 5 games.

I was thinking Lamar Odom, but he played in 98-99 season.

Thought maybe Corliss or Joe Smith but no way they would dish out those assist. No clue.
