We faced a guy who has the second most strikeouts in the nation than a guy who has a near 2.0 era. Rice pitched well tonight except the first inning. I would bats come alive tomorrow.

Tech averaged 10 runs a game against Rice, what does that tell you?

that baseball is a weird sport. That's why they play so many games. Rice has very good pitchers and threw their best tonight.

The guy couldn't find the plate, but we swung at crap in some key spots and kept him in the game, which made no sense because there were maybe two well-hit ball off of him all night (and one of them was an out). And then when we got Duplantier out of the game, we got too anxious in the 6th and gave them two outs on the basepaths.

It is cause for some concern because it seems like we go full-on stupid a lot of times in the postseason. Good thing Lange was dealing tonight and the delay wasn't long enough to pull him.

The Rice pitching I saw on the live feed was tremendous. Lange was great also. But anyone who thinks we "should have gotten more hits" either wasn't watching a video feed or wasn't paying attention.

I had to tell my buddy who was trying to compare our game with others like Clemson and FSU putting crazy numbers on the scoreboard that it wasn't fair to do that because they are all one game ahead of us. We were going up against an ace today while other national seeds were going against more depleted bullpen

It still could have gotten a lot uglier in the first, but the the umpire gifted Duplantier two strikes on Fraley that should have been ball fours, which led to the short fly out. It could have been 5-0 with runners on 1st and 2nd with nobody out. Then who knows what happens. They would have gotten to the pen before the delay and it wouldn't have been close.
