"will be" better. Not "is" better.
ETA: And your entire rant about Belle is ONLY about hitting. Bregman will be the complete package. There were times when Belle looked like a wounded buffalo in the field.

Paging ell... Austin Nola > Bregs

Austin Nola in the field/defensive leader>>>>Bregs defensive leader (for now he's still a sophomore)

Bregs TEAM leader>Nola team leader

As far as work ethics Bregs>>>> any tiger I've seen

We are definitely watching something special.

I've got news for you. There is no such thing as a can't miss prospect in baseball. Comparing college pitching to major league pitching is like comparing a go cart to a Ferrari. I don't care about Belle's fielding ability. By the way he had a very strong arm and was an excellent base runner. He was an absolute beast of a hitter. He is one of only 7 players in MLB history to have eight straight seasons of 30 home runs and 100 RBI. The other are Babe Ruth, Jimmie Foxx, Lou Gehrig, Albert Pujols and Alex Rodriguez. That is some pretty select company. He's the only player in major league history with 50 doubles and 50 HR's in the same season.

Is college pitching the Ferrari?

I don't need to read the thread. I read what you started. Alex Bregman is not better and will not be better than Todd Walker.....

There I said it...

Todd Walker will always be tGOAT. Bregman needs a ring

I know Walker is the greatest to ever play at LSU, but you could easily make the argument that Bregman would have put up better hitting numbers than Walker did as a freshman if he was using the same bats that they had in the early 90s.

Oh and Walker didn't win a ring as a Freshman.

Umm no. Big big shoes to fill plus no one knows what happens when you get to the minors. Does he have a chance, maybe. He's short too.

I dont think he will hit enough HR's to be the GOAT. Not his fault with the bats and balls but when I think back, i think power.
