Becoming a TRUE FAN....

Hello to all!! Sorry for making my first post ALL ABOUT ME, but, it's important IMO.
I have been lurking here for years and looking back, I WAS, UNTIL RECENTLY, A TERRIBLE FAN..
I cursed the coaches, the players, and the officials... I let difficult losses ruin days, weeks, MONTHS...
I don't know what happened recently, but something changed. Perhaps it was Les Miles making me laugh in interviews, perhaps is was the idealist in me finally understanding that there is always a winner and a loser in sports.
BUT, FINALLY, I CAN PLACE SPORTS IN THE PROPER PERSPECTIVE - ENTERTAINMENT. I now go easy on LSU athletes as they are KIDS. I look back at the things I did when I was 18-22 and WOW, THESE ARE SOME GOOD KIDS FOR THE MOST PART!! I was terrible. I don't get worked up with the coaches as they are only human. I sure as hell don't know enough to be a coach and wouldn't want to hear it from fans like my former self....
Anyway, I'm glad to be posting. I'm a realist now... That doesn't mean that I won't discuss a problem, but I won't let it get me angry or emotional anymore... I simply want to enjoy LSU athletics as we truly have something to be proud of here!!!
I look forward to many engaging conversations with you all, even if you are the way I was!!
