We are going to surprise a lot of people. These freshman should be pretty good.

It's one game. Let's pump the brakes. We will know a lot more after they leave the Bahamas next week.

I feel the same way. Last year Simmons hated the team and the team hated him. We had no team it was Simmons vs the team. The dude would practice by himself and never with the team. This team looks like they have chemistry and enjoy playing again

I think Quarterman was a bigger cancer than Simmons.

There you are you little girl

Eat your fricking crow

Then on the next page, more genius insight:

Our OL is dogshit and we are thin on the DL. They dominated us on the LOS last year at home and I expect it will happen again on the road this year. It also, like every year, lends itself to a let down game after Alabama. I think we beat one of Ole Miss/Bama, probably Ole Miss. Finish 6-2 with the other loss coming in a bad loss to Arkansas. We go to the damn Texas Bowl or something again.

It's early but these are two positive things that are fairly concrete:

Reath is a pterodactyl. His length, hands, and mobility are really impressive. He is a great compliment to Victor on both offense and defense. Will allow Victor to play pf and not center like last year.

Skylar is the best point guard prospect we have had since....... I can't even remember. Kid has it. Confident, good vision, amazing handles, size, doesn't force it.

I agree actually but anything is better than last year . Honestly it was the most disappointed I have ever been of LSU basketball becuase of the expectations and potential. Johnny Jones isn't the answer but let's hope he have a surprising year and make the tourney some how .

Yes, Simmons wouldn't even go to practice. He had his own private gym built just for him and he would practice a lone. Also, his teammates were planning to assasinate him if he decided to return for year 2.

You heard it from here first.

Did we fire JJ?

I have no faith in his coaching ability

Epps looks like a changed man. He is taken advantage of his size and willing to take a open shot.

This year will be much more enjoyable to watch.

Wofford is no Duke, but they do have a pretty good basketball program. Beating them by 20 is definitely a good way to start the season. Looking forward to seeing how LSU does in the Bahamas.

One game at a time but boy these first two games have been fun! The newcomers are far better than anyone had a right to hope for. Some freshmen take a whole season to get over the freshmen jitters but Mays seemed to settle down after the first five minutes. Sims seemingly never has had them and seems so smooth out there it is remarkable. Hayward does seem to need some more seasoning, especially on defense, but I think he will come around and be a solid part of the team by SEC time.

And the JUCO's, wow, Reath is a super star and if Jenkins is anywhere near as good when he finally gets to play look out. Very noticeable improvement in Epps and Blakeney, although Blakeney's outside shot is not falling.

It all comes down to defense as this last game showed so clearly. We have the offensive firepower. We just need hustle and stops on defense and we might win a few more, you know!

He did great offensively and rebounded well but he's a liability in the low post on defense. He will be the reserve we hoped to see last year once victor returns

Last year we lost two NBA talent players and our best two on the team. Replaced them with freshman and you said we would be better. Now we replace one of those freshman with more freshman and you say the same thing. You stupid or something?

I've felt like his since the end of last year. I truly believe this team will be decent to good. They won't be terrible like a lot of people think.
