With the football program being less than stellar, i am excited to watch some hoops this year. I think Wade has this team ready to turn some heads.

Anyone want to take a shot at some predictions?

I'm thinking SEC play we will be right around .500 and we will be squarely on the bubble come tourney time.

7-9 sec wins would be a nice building block. Looking forward to seeing them in action defensively.

Going from defense inaction to defense in action will be a nice change of pace.

Other than going 1-2 in Maui, they'll win every other OOC game. 7-9 in SEC with a chance to go to the NIT.

They don't play a good enough OOC schedule to be on the bubble at .500 in SEC play. The only way that changes is if they really make some hay in Maui. Surprise wins of Michigan and Notre Dame would change the calculus.

I'll predict 8 wins in SEC play. SEC is pretty good right now.

8-8 in SEC play

Make some noise in conference tournament and win 1 or 2 games in NIT.

Johnny Jones did a lot of damage to this program so it will take Wade a season to get things together. 2018-19 should be a lot of fun to watch

9-9 in SEC play, NIT berth in 2017-18

Top 3 in the SEC, seeded 5 or better in the NCAAT in 2018-19

I don't know enough about the rest of the SEC teams to predict SEC record, etc.

What I do think is that we'll see a much better coached, conditioned, and disciplined team with effort on defense.

I think this team is GREATLY improved from what I expected we'd see immediately post JJ. Wade's got a talent for building a roster. He has a plan, a system. A realistic hope is for a winning record and some post season play to build on.

I think that's a pretty fair prediction. I'm not as worried about record this year. I just want to see a different team playing harder. I don't see a tournament team though. Not enough talent.

Exactly what im looking for

Effort, energy, playing defense, fundamentals

Just signs of a program trending in the right direction.

Yeah, I agree about not being a tournament team, which surprises me when people suggest we're winning 9 conference games. 9-9 with a nice OOC record gets LSU into the tournament. I'm thinking more 6-8 wins

I expect LSU will play in a lot of close games and win more than just a few. I think how the team does in Hawaii will tell us a lot.

18 - 20 wins.

10-3 OOC (lose 2 in Maui and @Memphis)
9-9 in SEC, 6th ranked.
2-1 in SECTY

21-13. Miss NCAA close but host an NIT game or two.

Great hope for better in 2018-19.
