"According to the report, LSU men's basketball made $2.3 million and baseball made $1.5 million. All other sports lost money."

So all of you baseball fans who think your sport is number two. If you go by the All American Dollar then it isn't. Basketball money comes from TV money more than home attendance. This is why you can put out as mediocre a product as basketball was this year, have no one attend the games and still make a nice chunk of change.

The NCAA Basketball Tournament makes tons more money than the College World Series. It's just a fact!

LSU turns over a million dollars in profit in a sport that 99.99999 % of other schools lose tons of money in. If anything it shows how valuable baseball is.

If you think basketball is the #2 sport at LSU, you need to take two steps back and consider jumping off a bridge.

Would sell out more often than the PMAC

Why don't they add seating to Alex Box? Left field could fit a lot more people. Those SEC series would easily fill up.

Also take into account this was last season, where LSU was sporting the future #1 overall NBA pick. People came out to watch him, especially early. Wanna bet basketball doesn't make as much as baseball this year.

And the fact that LSU basketball can't consistently make a lot more than baseball is sad. Given its much easier to make money in basketball.

Basketball gets $2m in NCAA distributions that no other sport gets. They don't actually make more. it is more like an allocation.

True story. I had season tickets last year, and after the embarrassment of not even making it to any tournament I haven't watched 5 min of a game this season.

The numbers you are citing are from 2015-2016. Last year LSU had Simmons, the crowd was there to see the big draw Simmons.

Let's see what this season looks like. Basketball will make much less.

Am I reading that correctly? Men's basketball only made 82k in concessions?
